Hey you! With the face! Welcome to my substack telling stories, acting grown, a series of loose thoughts on growing up, my identity as a Black woman, my ever-growing curiosities, and my development as an artist and human. 

At the beginning of 2023, I decided this would be the year that I committed to being an artist. Creating and connecting are the things I love most, but somehow also the things I have the hardest time doing and validating myself in. This journey is about finding my style and learning myself, but also about learning to believe that the beautiful things I admire about life were made for me too. Basically, I’m legitimizing my existence and proving to myself that I am, in fact, real and capable. 

As I embark on this journey to retiring my self-doubt and imposter syndrome and learning to listen to my wants—I want to chronicle my observations and conclusions from stops along the journey.

I speak from the lens of a Black, first-generation American girl/woman. I am informed by my faith in Christ, my 22 years of lived experience on Earth, vibes, and not much else—stick around :)
